Because the police failed to confiscate his encrypted wallet login information in time, he was suspected of conducting multiple cryptocurrency transactions through his wallet. It is reported that Do Kwon's electronic devices were not handed over to the investigating judge until 72 days after his arrest. During this period, at least three transactions were executed, and the relevant accounts were related to a local mobile phone company in Montenegro.
Do Kwon was arrested on March 23, 2023, and during the search, the police found devices including laptops, mobile phones, and crypto wallet login information. But according to sources, Montenegro's National Security Agency (ANB) said that the police only began to confiscate these devices under the instructions of the minister. Do Kwon's extradition request has not yet received a final decision from the Montenegrin Minister of Justice.
