Solving the Farmer's Dilemma : Autonomys

As #BTC embarks on its ATH journey, it will be followed by $ETH $SOL and of course #BSC In this rise, #DePIN #RWA and #AI projects should be followed closely. I would like to talk about the great solution that Autonomys Network, which is a candidate to be one of the important players in the #AI3 field, has found to the dilemma of farmers.

Blockchain technology uses proof-based protocols that use a storage-driven consensus mechanism called Proofs of Capacity (PoC) for a decentralised, energy-efficient and secure network. PoC replaces computationally intensive mining with storage-orientated ‘farming’ processes. However, this approach creates an incentive problem known as the farmer's dilemma. Farmers are forced to choose between using storage resources to store the state and history of the blockchain or allocating more space for consensus.

Data storage is expensive and difficult, but the second option means getting more reward.

Autonomys and Subspace Protocol have developed a new solution to overcome this problem. It has made the processes separate mechanisms from each other. Instead of storing the history of the blockchain, farmers need to store copies of the history. This system separates consensus and computation; farmers only queue transactions, while staked operator nodes manage states and perform transitions. this system eases the storage burden of farmers while maintaining the advantages of security and decentralisation.

Since this system requires very low system requirements, it allows even casual users to participate in consensus, paving the way for more participation and increasing security.

It is useful to follow Autonomysi closely, which does not compromise on Decentralisation and Security with these and similar solutions.
