The 4th FinTechOn Forum, guided by the National Development Council of the Executive Yuan and hosted by the Taiwan FinTech Association (TFTA), will be held on November 4, 2024 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taipei.

The forum theme of FinTechOn 2024 is "Towards the Dawn: Virtual Asset Regulation and Anti-Fraud Actions". Another highlight is that the Asia FinTech Alliance (AFA) will also participate in the FinTechOn annual forum for the first time. AFA is an international alliance officially formed at the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) last year (2023). Currently, 14 financial technology associations have joined as members, representing 14 Asian economies, and are led by Cai Yuling, who serves as AFA First President.
According to a report released by the FBI last month, victims reported more than $5.6 billion in cryptocurrency-related scams in 2023, a 45% increase from the previous year. To meet increasingly urgent challenges, cross-border defense and public-private collaboration are crucial. At the forum, real cases will also be displayed to highlight the effectiveness of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and industry in combating fraud.
In addition, AFA members will also sign a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOU) to carry out international cooperation in cross-border anti-fraud, and jointly release a white paper (Riding the Wind and Waves: Exploring the Frontier of Fintech) with KPMG for the first time to outline Asian Fintech. development overview. AFA members will participate in these two important links simultaneously online and offline.
