CoinShares: Digital asset investment products saw net inflows of $407 million last week
CoinShares reported inflows of $407 million into digital asset investment products last week.
The report said that because investors' decisions may be more influenced by the upcoming US election than the outlook for monetary policy, stronger-than-expected economic data did little to stem capital outflows, while the recent US vice presidential debate and subsequent polls shifted toward the Republican Party, which is considered more supportive of digital assets, leading to capital inflows and an immediate rise in prices.
As expected, perhaps due to the political nature of recent inflows, the United States saw an inflow of $406 million, while the other country with significant inflows was Canada with $4.8 million. Bitcoin inflows totaled $419 million, making it the main beneficiary of recent political changes.
In comparison, short-term Bitcoin investment products saw outflows of $6.3 million.

TD Bank becomes first U.S. bank to plead guilty to money laundering conspiracy, fined $3 billion

He noted that the resolution includes "the largest penalty ever imposed under the (Bank Secrecy Act) and the first time the Department of Justice has assessed a daily penalty against a bank."
The bank is the largest in U.S. history to admit to violating (the Bank Secrecy Act) and the first to plead guilty to conspiracy to launder money. The Justice Department highlighted compliance lapses that created an environment for financial crime to flourish.

The price of SUI coins hit a record high and Meme coins surged. How to participate in the rising Sui ecosystem?
On October 13, the closing price of the SUI token exceeded $2.2, setting a record high, and the market value broke into the top 20. The upward trend is still continuing. On October 14, the price of the coin exceeded $2.3, and the increase in the past two days has exceeded 30%. The latest monitoring data of traders shows that the performance of the SUI coin price has surpassed TON, and it is the best public chain token in terms of price performance since the beginning of 2024.
At the same time, the prices of multiple ecological meme projects such as HIPPO, BLUB, and FUD also soared, with the increase exceeding 10 times. In addition, the two major DeFi applications in the ecosystem: the lending agreement NAVI Protocol and the order book exchange DeepBook will officially start token trading on October 14.
The strong performance of Sui tokens and ecological projects has attracted great attention from the crypto market. A large amount of funds are pouring into the Sui ecosystem in search of wealth opportunities. According to Cointelegraph, nearly 27% of the outflow of funds on Solana in September was transferred to Sui.
According to DeFiLlama data, the transaction volume on the Sui chain has exceeded US$1.32 billion in the past seven days, ranking sixth in the entire public chain market, and Arbitrum is fifth.
How to seize new wealth opportunities in the ecological rise of Sui Chain? It has become a hot topic in the crypto community.
GOAT increased 1,000 times in a week, a16z transferred $50,000 worth of AI, and the first coin was worth $100 million
Meme hype has entered the era of "human-machine resonance".
Today's Meme What's Hot column introduces an AI Bot that was launched in June this year - Truth Terminal (@truth_terminal). It operates in semi-autonomous mode, and human administrators can approve its Twitter posts and decide who to interact with. What made it a hit was that a16z founder Marc Andreessen gave it $50,000 worth of Bitcoin.
Andy Ayrey, the founder of Truth Terminal, said that Truth Terminal is not a crypto project, but "a study of the tail risks of meme contagion and unsupervised unlimited creativity in the era of [large language models]." As the speeches of Truth Terminal have more and more meme-spreading effects, many related hype targets have gradually appeared in the market.
The dilemma of the Meme “Jesus”: The Murad effect, fanatic groups, and the trend of faith coins
Murad is a notable figure because of his contradictory views on the impact of the market. He believes that meme coins will drive revaluation as holders form fanatical groups because holders are reluctant to sell. In other words, meme coins can enter a larger serviceable market (TAM) by moving from a "fun" nature like Doge to a "serious" nature. However, the meme coins he promotes, such as GigaChad and SPX6900, do not have true seriousness and are more like Doge.
The paradox is that the real reason these coins are revaluing is because Murad himself owns them. When he tweets, the price goes up, which actually proves his argument wrong. The price movement is not because of the growth of the “fanatic community”, but because Murad himself owns these coins.
