Although citizens of the European Union will be able to continue using unregulated services from third countries on their "own and exclusive initiative," the scope of this exemption will be extremely limited.

Unregulated companies from third countries will not be able to market their services in the EU or target EU consumers in any way. The last thing EU supervisors want to see, after years of work related to MiCA, is that unregulated foreign companies circumvent MiCA rules.
