💥Another case of permit signature theft worth $35 million——

1. 15,079 fwDETH worth about 35.98 million U.S. dollars were stolen from the address 0xEab2E…a393 because it signed the permit signature.

2. The hacker quickly sold 14,079 fwDETH on DEX, with the exchange path fwDETH -> DETH -> ETH. Due to insufficient liquidity in the pool, only 2,288 ETH were exchanged.

3. fwDETH plummeted to $85, and now it has pulled back to $1,200, a significant decoupling. The victim is suspected to be Lin Xiahong, co-founder of Continue Capital.

Those who bought discounted DETH at a low point were already very happy, but now it’s a bit awkward. Are they going to forcibly pull it back to the anchor to make way for all arbitrageurs? Or are they going to directly issue new assets to stop losses?

There have been a lot of thefts recently, including Shenyu and Venture Capital. Even the big guys can’t prevent permit signatures. I wrote an article about how to prevent it before.

Also, do the following two things right now:

1. Check if you have unlimited authorization signature for permit/permit2 and cancel it:

2. Download and install the ScamSinffer Google Chrome plugin. @realScamSniffer
