The Ethereum documentary (Vitalik: The Story of Ethereum), jointly sponsored by HashKey Tokenisation, SeeDao, and web3caff, premiered offline in Hong Kong on October 10. The documentary raised 1,036 ETH and took three years to shoot and produce. It takes the audience to experience the journey of Ethereum construction through the perspective of Vitalik Buterin.
Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman and CEO of HashKey Group, attended the premiere with community members and reviewed the story of Vitalik's participation in the co-construction of the Chinese Ethereum community ecosystem in Shanghai from 2015 to 2017. Dr. Xiao Feng said: "The goal of Ethereum is to allow everyone to freely participate, contribute and share the value of blockchain technology under the premise of protecting privacy and security. Over the years, this young man who loves to wear T-shirts and love programming has not changed his original intention, and the Ethereum network he has promoted has not changed. This network that can be collaborated on a large scale by strangers will become an important force in promoting global social and economic development. I hope young people can gain something from this documentary."
The documentary opens with Vitalik Buterin tasting tea. Tea originated in China and was once an important commodity on the ancient Silk Road. Dr. Xiao Feng mentioned: "The core of Ethereum is similar to tea. They both nourish everything and connect each other. The world built by decentralized networks can also promote exchanges and mutual learning among human civilizations."
HashKey Group has been actively building an open crypto-financial infrastructure through blockchain technology. Its Ethereum L2 network HashKey Chain is expected to start public testing in the fourth quarter. By creating a secure, compliance-friendly, and innovation-encouraging on-chain environment, HashKey will work with community partners to witness the transformative power of blockchain technology in promoting inclusive finance.
