On October 8, Bitrace CEO Isabel Shi was invited to participate in a three-day virtual asset investigation training camp held by the Hong Kong Police. She gave a special lecture to more than 60 supervisory and law enforcement personnel including the Hong Kong Police, the Macau Judiciary Police, the Hong Kong Customs, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and the Hong Kong SFC. She introduced the core ideas of investigating fraud, black and gray market transactions, online gambling, drug trafficking and other criminal activities, as well as how to penetrate and track funds. She emphasized that most of the currency-related criminal gangs in Asia are showing a trend of aggregation and industrialization, making it more difficult to combat crime. She also suggested that law enforcement agencies use data tracking tools and work closely with VASPs to combat these new crimes.
