What can you expect from Chromia's Mimir Upgrade? Mimir will be a game-changer for decentralized, on-chain AI. The key features are the AI Inference Extension and the Vector Database Extension. Let's look at what they both mean ๐ ๐ค AI Inference It sounds complicated, but really it's what allows AI to "think". Like Chat GPT. It's been trained and coded, and then when you give your input and ask a question, it can "think" and create a response. The AI Inference Extension will enable open-source AI models like DeepSeek, smolLM, and Llama to run on Chromia network provider nodes instead of centralized cloud services. Decentralized AI FTW! ๐ฟ Vector Database Extension Vector Databases had a huge influence on the development of AI. AI applications use these Vector databases to store and retrieve vector embeddings - numerical representations of data that enable functions like similarity search, long-term memory, and contextual text retrieval. Like how your Chat GPT can refer to things you've previously said and has a "memory" of you. The Vector Database Extension will make it possible to build so much more AI, at a really high level, on-chain.
