💻The history of Java began in the early 90s, when a team of engineers from Sun Microsystems, led by James Gosling, created a language for "intelligent devices"
☕️At first it was called Oak, but later it was changed to Java, in honor of the type of coffee that the developers drank while working.
Thanks to the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), applications could run on different platforms without changing the code. The official release of the language took place in 1995, after which its popularity grew rapidly, in particular thanks to Netscape's support for web applications.
