PANews reported on October 9 that stablecoin issuer Circle announced on the X platform that native USDC is now available on the Sui network, and USDC is now natively supported on 16 blockchain networks. Circle wrote: "Sui is a Layer-1 blockchain designed for scalability, speed, and affordability, and is also the first blockchain to support native USDC using the Move programming language. In the Sui mainnet, there is a form of bridged USDC called wUSDC, which is USDC bridged from Ethereum. Circle encourages developers and users to migrate to "native" USDC, which is the official form of USDC on the Sui mainnet issued by Circle, 100% backed by highly liquid cash and cash equivalents, and can always be exchanged for US dollars 1:1."
