According to BlockBeats, on October 8, Bitcoin.comNews reported that the South African cryptocurrency exchange Luno recently announced a strategic partnership with the payment platform Zapper to enable cryptocurrency payment functions in more than 31,000 merchants across the country. This cooperation aims to expand the application of cryptocurrency from investment to daily transactions.
Tarris Arnold, Luno business development manager, said the partnership will help break the stereotype that cryptocurrencies are only investment assets. Users can now trade online or in stores by scanning the Zapper QR code, with a single transaction limit of $5,740. Zapper CEO Mike Bryer revealed that the partnership will add about 5 million South African users to the Zapper network.
