Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has taken to social media platform X to express his support for meme coins that donate to charitable causes. He recently donated 10 billion MOODENG, a hippo-themed meme coin on Solana, to anti-airborne disease initiatives.

Buterin suggests creating a DAO to involve the community in donation decisions. Earlier today, he swapped MOODENG for 309 ETH and donated 260 ETH (~$637K) to Kanro, a biotech charity.
