A new study by Electric Capital reveals that Ripple (XRP) is among the few crypto projects experiencing an increase in developer counts, with a YoY growth of over 18% and 172 monthly active developers. Other projects, such as Starknet and zkSync, recorded 4% and 6% YoY growth, respectively, while Aztec Protocol and Celestia saw significant growth of over 168% and 145%, respectively.
As of October 1, 2023, there are 19,300 monthly active open-source developers, marking a 27% decrease compared to October 1, 2022. The departing developers primarily consist of newcomers with less than a year of experience in the crypto sector. However, the overall growth in the open-source developer community has increased by 66% compared to October 1, 2020, indicating a positive outlook for the industry.
