Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell Technologies (DELL), made his second major sale in September, selling 10 million shares of his company for $1.22 billion. In a filing with the SEC on September 30, it was noted that Dell still owns 16.91 million shares worth over $2 billion.
Dell also sold 10 million shares on September 23 for $1.17 billion. Dell Technologies’ stock price is up 58.5% this year and rejoined the S&P 500 on September 24. The company is notable for its increasing demand for servers that can run artificial intelligence applications.
It is not known why Dell sold such a large amount of stock. However, despite the sale, the stock price only fell 0.33%. Dell’s speculations about Bitcoin have also attracted attention, but Bitcoin has not been added to the company’s balance sheet.
