When Bitcoin was first introduced in 2009, it had no established market price. Initially, Bitcoin was mined and traded among early adopters for little to no value. The first recorded price for Bitcoin occurred in 2010,when a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz famously paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas. At that time, Bitcoin was valued at fractions of a penny, meaning the transaction was worth around $41 for the pizzas.
In late 2010, Bitcoin began trading on cryptocurrency exchanges, with its price fluctuating between $0.08 to $0.10 per Bitcoin. It wasn’t until 2011 that Bitcoin’s price reached $1 for the first time. Since then, its value has experienced significant volatility, with periods of rapid growth and correction.
