Chinese Bitcoin miners continue to control a large portion of the global network despite the country’s cryptocurrency ban. According to CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju, more than 55% of the Bitcoin mining network is controlled by Chinese mining pools. However, Bitcoin mining dominance is slowly shifting to US mining firms. “Chinese mining pools control 55% of the network, while US pools control 40%,” Ju wrote in a September 23 X post.
