Sam Bankman-Fried's lawyers are concerned that their client will not be able to testify without Adderall, a drug used to treat ADHD. Lawyers previously contacted the court to resolve this issue, but did not receive a response to “numerous emails and voicemails.”

“The defense has growing concern that Bankman-Fried's lack of access to Adderall will make him unable to concentrate at the level required and, as a result, will be unable to meaningfully participate in the presentation of the defense case,” the lawyers wrote.

Lawyers asked the court to issue an order allowing Bankman-Fried to take medication in the courthouse on court days. In addition, the defense asked to postpone the trial to October 17. This will give attorneys an extra day to resolve the matter and attorneys more time to prepare for trial.

Bankman-Fried filed a memorandum in September asking the court to withdraw the U.S. Justice Department's requests because they were "unreasonable and excessive." #CryptoNews #cryptoshark #cryptocurrency #Crypto2023
