Focusing on the last transaction of a wallet associated with Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, blockchain analysts stated that Buterin transferred USD Coin (USDC) worth $ 14.9 million to the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini.
Buterin's "Vitalik.eth" wallet transferred $14.93 million to Gemini on October 16, according to an October 17 post from blockchain analytics firm PeckShield to X.
The transaction was independently verified by Cointelegraph via Etherscan.
Vitalik received 14.93 million USDC on October 14 from Kanro, a charity affiliated with Vitalik.
A separate analysis from crypto data provider Lookonchain also revealed that Buterin transferred nearly $500,000 to Coinbase three days ago.
The price of Ethereum's native currency, Ether (ETH), remained stable following the transfer news, falling just 0.68% in the last four hours, according to price data from Coingecko.
Buterin's latest transaction is the latest example of the increase in ETH deposits to centralized exchanges over the past few months. Total transfers from Buterin's wallets totaled more than $3.9 million in September.
