😱🐋Crypto Whales Alert: 16 New Bitcoin (BTC) Addresses in One Day
As an important development, as reported by Centiment, Bitcoin's whale addresses recorded a significant increase with the addition of 16 new addresses in 24 hours.
This increase coincides with Bitcoin's ongoing attempt to break the critical $27,000 resistance level.
The Increase in the Number of Bitcoin Whales
Centiment's data highlights that this increase in whale addresses, especially the number of people holding 100 to 1,000 BTC, represents the most significant one-day increase since February 28, 2022.
With these new additions, the total number of addresses of this group has now reached 13,967.
But it is worth noting that this growth is partly due to the fact that smaller wallets are moving to the next level. Currently, 140,210 addresses are worth between 10 and 100 BTC.Dec.
Previously, Centiment had announced that wallets containing at least 10 BTC have witnessed a historic increase since February 2022. Since March 2022, 11,806 new addresses holding more than 10 BTC have been created, which marks an 8.12% increase in these retail-oriented addresses.
Simultaneously, the recent increase in Bitcoin whale addresses coincides with the fact that long-term owners continue to buy the best digital asset. Blockchain analytics firm IntoTheBlock has revealed that investors who have held BTC for more than a year own 69% of the asset supply.
