PANews reported on December 22 that the proposal vote initiated by the Uniswap Foundation to change the community governance process has been passed, with a total vote of approximately 61 million UNI and an approval rate of nearly 100%.
It is reported that Uniswap's previous governance process included three stages: temperature check, consensus check, and on-chain governance voting. The proposal proposes to replace the original three-day consensus check process with a seven-day "Request for Comments" (RFC) process to give the community enough time to formulate opinions on the proposal and provide feedback. This stage removes the two snapshot off-chain voting requirements; in addition, the statutory pass threshold for the new temperature check will be increased from the original 50,000 UNI to 10 million UNI. Since there are currently 37 Uniswap representatives who can use more than 2.5 million UNI to vote, raising the statutory pass threshold will better reflect the community's support signal. There are no changes in the on-chain governance voting stage.
