A recent report by New World Wealth and Henley & Partners has attracted significant attention, revealing that the number of crypto millionaires has doubled this year. On August 31, 2024, Nate Geraci, an ETF expert and president at the ETF Store, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the number of crypto millionaires nearly doubled to 172,300 over the 12 months ending in June 2024.
Rise of Crypto and Bitcoin Millionaires
The number of centi-millionaires (those with $100 million or more) increased by 80%, reaching 325, while the number of billionaires rose by 27%, now totaling 28. Notably, the number of Bitcoin millionaires who exclusively hold BTC surged by 111%, with their total reaching 85,400 as of now. Additionally, the number of Bitcoin centi-millionaires and billionaires increased by 100% and 83%, respectively, during the same period.
This data underscores the wealth-generating potential within the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape. Since the beginning of 2024, significant developments such as increased adoption, political support, and other advancements have driven growth in this sector.
Market Opportunities Amid the Downturn
Despite the overall cryptocurrency market experiencing a notable downturn since June 2024, there remain substantial opportunities to profit within this rising industry. Currently, major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Dogecoin (DOGE) have seen significant price declines. According to CoinMarketCap data, $BTC , $ETH , $SOL , and DOGE have dropped by over 10%, 22%, 19%, and 12%, respectively, in the past month.
