Ki Young Ju, the Korean co-founder and CEO of on-chain analytics company CryptoQuant, tweeted that the Bank of Korea’s CBDC system will be built using a permissioned distributed ledger and will not be connected to an external open distributed ledger network. , users participating in the actual transaction test will not be able to transfer digital currencies issued on the CBDC network to an open distributed ledger like Ethereum.
According to previous news, South Korean banks and financial authorities are launching a pilot project on CBDC.
