The winner of the Polkastarter GAM3 Awards, known as the web3 gaming Grammys, has been crowned. The 16 winners were announced at a live event on December 15, marking the conclusion of the inaugural industry awards.
The GAM3 Game of the Year Awards attract the most attention, recognizing the best web3 games that blur the lines between traditional and blockchain games. As for the Best Content Creator Award, 23 unique web3 gaming content creators were nominated, with the best content creator not being determined until the final day of voting.

Winners will share over $1 million worth of prizes thanks to contributions, services, and grant partners including Immutable X, Blockchain Game Alliance, Machinations, Ultra, Naavik, Galxe, Hacken, Venly, HackenProof, Shorooq, Elixir, Arcade, and MetaCon.
The award’s judging panel included Fractal founder Justin Kan; Polygon Studios global head of gaming Urvit Goel; Itai Elizur Market Across managing partner; ImmutableX director of risk and strategy Rachel Levin and Solana Foundation technical lead Matt Sorg, Avalanche head of gaming Edward Chang; and Lv.99 co-founder and gaming industry veteran Yoshihisa Hashimoto.
October 23rd marked the announcement of the first GAM3 Awards. Since then, hundreds of web3 games have urged their communities to nominate and vote for them in different categories. Thousands of social posts were distributed among partners, games, media agencies, content creators, and community members, with an estimated reach of over 11 million.
Community voting played a role in determining the final decision with more than 250,000 votes cast across all 16 categories. More than 40,000 unique voters participated and more than 13,000 tweets were sent using the hashtag #GAM3Awards.
Games were judged on core loop, graphics, accessibility, replayability factor, fun elements and overall gaming experience. To qualify, games had to integrate and utilize blockchain technology, though the focus was on playability.
Nominees for these categories were chosen by an international jury of gaming, media and web3 outlets, selected for their unbiased perspectives and quality focus. Each voting body completed a confidential, unranked ballot based on the collective and dissenting opinions of its entire editorial staff, outlining the top five choices in each category.
The GAM3 Awards also showcased exclusive footage from highly anticipated web3 games, including Blocklords, Mythic Protocol, Cards of Ethernity, Mummy.io, and Elarium. Additionally, several other web3 games chose the event to showcase their upcoming announcements and unreleased gameplay footage.
