🚀 Ethereum recently held its ACDE 171 community event, discussing how to deliver some transformative elements that could shape the future of the network, perhaps improving security and privacy.
Topics covered include:
- Dencun Devnets
- Extensive audits
- The long-awaited launch of Holesky
- Innovative proposal for private ETH transfers
- Significant changes to the EIP-6780 specification
🔐 Improved Privacy and Security
Tim Beiko, a popular member of the Ethereum community, provided a detailed recap of the event. One of the highlights is the introduction of EIP-7503, which will redefine private transfers on the Ethereum blockchain.
EIP-7501 introduces a new approach called “Burn and Remint”, which allows private transfers by burning and reminting ETH. ZKP incorporation is designed to improve privacy and security.
💡 Other Issues Noted
Devnet 9 was also asked at the event, and Beiko reported that the team is already preparing and working to address various test cases. Other devnets, which will be short-lived for testing purposes, are also discussed.
The 171st Execution Layer Meeting comes just two weeks after the 170th Meeting, which was held on September 14th. The new ACDE meeting is scheduled for October 12 at 14:00 UTC.
Come on, discuss further in the comments column! 😄
