John Reed Stark, former director of the SEC Internet Enforcement Office, posted on the X platform that former President Trump had strongly opposed Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. However, crypto voters are a “single-issue voter” group and are strong and passionate, so perhaps Trump will change his tone on crypto significantly. (Trump apparently holds large amounts of cryptocurrency, according to multiple reports). \nIn any case, if a Republican is elected as the President of the United States, the Republican-appointed SEC chairman will at least approve a Bitcoin spot ETF, and may even significantly slow down the SEC's cryptocurrency-related enforcement efforts.
