[India’s Minister of Economic Affairs: G20 members should reach a consensus on crypto asset policy]

India's Union Economic Affairs Minister Ajay Seth said on Wednesday that the Group of 20 (G20) countries are working to reach a policy consensus on crypto-assets for better global regulation. India, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the G20, will host the G20 Finance and Central Bank Representatives Meeting in Bangalore from December 13 to 15. Seth said at a press conference on the second day of the forum that the impact of crypto assets on the economy, monetary policy and banking industry should be studied to reach this consensus. “Regulation should be informed by the policy perspective adopted. In fact, one of the priorities on the table is to help countries reach consensus on a policy approach to crypto-assets.”
