Musk is a fan of Dogecoin (DOGE), and Trump's recent major shift towards Bitcoin has also won him strong support from cryptocurrency voters and raised huge amounts of money among the crypto industry.

The official Twitter account of Doge Designer, the designer of Dogecoin, also announced the news, saying that Trump will return to the Twitter platform next week and be interviewed by Musk on Twitter Space.

As Trump returns to Twitter, he wrote: "Trump should consider posting on Twitter. With approximately 600 million visitors per month and 98% of the American audience reaching voting age, Twitter is a critical space. The Democrats have made full use of this platform and I believe he should not miss this opportunity."

Trump participated in a 22-minute interview with video game streamer Adin Ross on Monday, during which Ross presented Trump with a Rolex watch and a Tesla Cybertruck with a photo of him at the time of his July 13 assassination.

In July, Trump suffered a shocking shooting assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and Musk subsequently publicly stated that he would fully support Trump.

Musk shared a video on Twitter on July 13 after being shot in the right ear and wrote: "I fully support Trump and hope he recovers soon."

Musk has said he has voted for Democratic candidates in the past three elections, including current President Joe Biden. In recent years, the tech mogul has expressed his dissatisfaction with Democratic policies, such as Biden's indefinite support for unions and his decisions on immigration and border issues.

But he wrote on March 6: "For the record, I will not be donating to any candidate for President of the United States."

Politico reported that at a campaign rally last Saturday, Trump appeared to abandon his long-standing opposition to electric vehicles due to Musk's support.

“I support electric cars, and I have to, because Elon Musk is very supportive of me,” he said.

Musk denied rumors that he planned to invest some of his wealth in Trump's re-election campaign and reiterated that he would not "donate to any presidential candidate."

After Musk took over Twitter (now renamed X), he restored Trump's account, which had been suspended by the platform's previous owners after the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
