According to Techub News, Anchorage Digital, a cryptocurrency-friendly bank in the United States, announced the expansion of its support for the Solana ecosystem. In addition to native SOL, institutions can now securely custody SPL tokens through Anchorage Digital Bank.
The SPL token standard specifies how tokens and NFTs operate on the Solana network, ensuring interoperability across the ecosystem. Anchorage Digital Bank will support native SOL custody from 2022 and staking from 2023. SPL tokens are widely used on the Solana network for use cases such as dApp participation, tokenization, payments, and governance.
