Golden Finance reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) failed to convince a federal district judge on Monday to allow officials to immediately launch an in-depth investigation into Binance US (Binance.US) software. The SEC said it has struggled to obtain information from Binance US since it sued Binance US and its CEO Changpeng Zhao in June this year. The SEC asked a federal district judge on Monday, Zia Faru, to allow it to inspect Binance U.S.’s technical infrastructure and force the company to share other required information. However, the judge said he was "not inclined to allow an investigation at this time." He said the SEC should make more targeted requests and talk to more witnesses.
