The Remitano exchange is said to have been targeted by hackers, resulting in a loss of 2.7 million USD. On the evening of September 14, blockchain security unit Cyvers Alerts said it had discovered a series of suspicious transactions originating from Remitano, a famous cryptocurrency exchange in Vietnam.
Whale Alert said it has contacted the Remitano team to prevent further losses. In addition, the crypto community also discovered that Tether had frozen the hacker's Ethereum wallet containing 1.3 million USDT and the TRON wallet containing 537,000 USDT.
Remitano at the time of writing has not yet made an official statement about the incident, but has announced to stop deposits and withdrawals on chains (except Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin) for 48 hours.
