Celsius has been given the mandate to select potential bidders, with the deadline for final bids set for December 12
The bidding process plan of Celsius, a crypto lending platform, has been approved by a U.S. federal judge. The process lists the steps for selling platform assets and sets a timetable that allows it to sell assets by the end of the year. Celsius plans to solicit bids for its retail asset business, which includes account and token balances, retail and institutional loan portfolios, exchange services, pledge platforms, payment functions, DeFi departments, and any crypto assets it holds. It also plans to solicit bids for "remaining assets," including mining operations.
The judge's order sets dates and deadlines related to a possible sale of the assets and authorizes Celsius to select a potential bidder, which must be approved by the court and creditors. The deadline for final bids is set for Dec. 12, and if necessary, an auction will be held on Dec. 15.

Maxine Waters, chair of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, and Patrick McHenry, a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, announced that a bipartisan hearing will be held in December on "the collapse of FTX and its broader consequences for the digital asset ecosystem." Maxine Waters also tweeted: "We are clear that the information you have so far is sufficient to participate in the testimony. The collapse of FTX has hurt millions of people, and your testimony is not only meaningful to members of Congress, but also to the American people." And required SBF to attend the FTX hearing on December 13.
SBF later responded, "I still don't have access to most of my data (professional or personal), so what I can say is limited, and I won't be as helpful as I would like to be. But since the committee still thinks it is useful, I am willing to testify on the 13th. I will try my best to help during the hearing and clarify the information I can provide."
Optimism will publicly conduct a walkthrough on December 13 to migrate the Goerli network to Bedrock
Ethereum's second-layer network Optimism announced that it will conduct a public rehearsal to migrate Optimism Goerli to Bedrock at 2:00 am Beijing time on December 13. Optimism forked the existing L1 Goerli and Optimism Goerli networks and will run a complete end-to-end migration on both networks, which will take about an hour. After the rehearsal, the forked Optimism Goerli network will be upgraded to Bedrock. This migration rehearsal is mainly aimed at infrastructure providers and running nodes. Bedrock will be released as the infrastructure of the interactive fault proof system Cannon, and its advantages include reduced transaction fees, increased maximum throughput, and faster node synchronization.

Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals on BNB Beacon Chain from 14:30 on the same day. It is reported that BNB Beacon Chain will introduce a hard fork including BEP-153 and BEP-173.

Ethereum developers will launch a new public testnet for the Shanghai upgrade around December 15
Following Thursday’s call, Ethereum developers are aiming to launch a new public testnet for Shanghai around December 15-16. Ethereum developers will focus on making Shanghai as smooth as possible over the next month, with plans to launch a mainnet shadow fork in mid-to-late January 2023. Previously, Ethereum developers launched the “Shandong” testnet, which was designed to work out any bugs related to certain EIPs they might include in Shanghai, but that testnet is now deprecated.

American watch brand Timex will open the Metaverse space TIMEX Forge on December 16
TIMEX, an American watch brand, announced on Twitter that it will launch 500 limited edition BAYC and MAYC themed watches and matching NFTs, and the related designs will be supported by Web3 company Daze3D. BAYC and MAYC NFT holders can choose to customize the APE image on the dial, or engrave the APE image and unique number on the back of the case.
