Here’s the difference!
-> My main concerns about the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are:
1. The 5x telephoto sensor
2. Apple didn’t even mention anything about battery life on stage (they rated the battery life similar to the 14 Pro on the website though)
About the 5x tele sensor, it’s great that Apple is finally using a larger focal length for the best iPhone model. But honestly, using phones like Oppo Find X6 Pro makes me think that it’s better to use a much bigger 3x sensor rather than a 5x sensor with nothing in between the main camera and 5x.
If Apple does not want to do incorporate dual tele like Xiaomi and Samsung, the most ideal thing to do would be to use 3x or 3.5x like Oppo and vivo instead of 5x like Google.
I’m concerned about the short-range zoom now. While 2x might still be usable enough, 3x and 4x are obviously not going to be as good as the 14 Pro Max.
Aside from that, while taking portraits using the main camera is still fine, taking portraits with the 5x lens must be awkward, especially that we have to stand really far from the subject to get the best framing.
