More than a dozen Democrats in the US House of Representatives and candidates for congressional seats are calling on the national committee to take a pro-crypto stance.

— Lawmakers including Josh Gottheimer, Ro Khanna, Wiley Nickel and Ritchie Torres signed a letter asking for a “progressive approach” to digital assets.

- They propose adding supportive language to the party's official platform and replacing the SEC chairman with a pro-crypto one.

“We believe that this technology is non-partisan,” the letter says.

The Republican Party has previously added a pro-crypto position to its platform.
