In a recent revelation, FLOKI went to X to address the claims and rumors circulating in the crypto community, and also warned its users against scams that take advantage of its brand name and reputation.
In a recent tweet from Floki's official Twitter handle @realflokiinu, the project denied any relationship with PetabyteCapital and clarified that petabytecapital has never been a co-founder of the FLOKI token.
“we would like to make it clear that petabytecapital is not and has NEVER been a FLOKI co-founder. #Floki is literally a community project and has never had a founder or co-founder.”
This announcement comes after multiple instances of individuals or organizations falsely associating themselves with the popular cryptocurrency in order to capitalize on its brand value have been reported. It is suspected that these misleading claims are an attempt to create hype around their own projects and scams.
The FLOKI team also stressed that if they are going to launch a new token, they will first announce it on their official channels. He also urged users to the importance of doing their own research (DYOR) and ensuring that any information comes from reliable and official sources.
This warning follows a report by Whale Chart that the Twitter account @Whalechart committed fraud on petabytecapital and falsely claimed to be the co-founder of FLOKI. #crypto2023 #Binance #pepe
