🌟 Breaking News: El Salvador to Integrate Bitcoin into School Curriculum, a World First 🌟

In a groundbreaking move, the Ministry of Education in El Salvador has partnered with Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB), a non-profit educational organization, to incorporate Bitcoin-related content into the country's school curriculum.

This pilot program aims to train 150 teachers to deliver Bitcoin education, initially launching in 75 public schools. The goal is to expand this initiative to every school in the nation by 2024.

In a recent interview, MPB founder John Dennehy confirmed the organization's involvement in this joint effort.

"The first phase of this process began on September 7th, with 150 teachers from 75 public schools being taught basic Bitcoin-related content, assisted by individuals from Bitcoin Beach, another Bitcoin project. These teachers will return to their schools ready to offer Bitcoin courses to their students," Dennehy stated, as quoted from Bitcoin.com on Friday (September 8, 2023).

Dennehy emphasized that if this trial proves successful, the program will be extended to all schools in El Salvador next year. Regarding the impact of spreading Bitcoin knowledge in schools, he added:

"El Salvador leads in public Bitcoin education, and we hope other countries will follow suit. The world is watching."

While Bitcoin education's primary focus is on El Salvador, the first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, Dennehy highlighted that MPB's ultimate goal is to expand its reach to other nations.

"It started in El Salvador, but we aim to go global," Dennehy declared.

MPB has already assisted approximately 25,000 students in learning about the Bitcoin narrative and basic transaction methods using wallets. Dennehy also revealed that MPB is in discussions to bring Bitcoin teaching experiences to two undisclosed countries.
