Golden Finance reported that Ryan Salame, a former FTX executive, pleaded guilty to federal criminal charges related to the collapse of the exchange. Salame pleaded guilty to two counts: one was conspiracy to make illegal contributions and defraud the Federal Election Commission, and the other was conspiracy to operate and unlicensed money transmission business. As part of the plea agreement with the government, Salame was ordered to forfeit more than $1.5 billion. Salame has agreed to forfeit $6 million before sentencing, which is expected to be in March next year. To pay for the money, Salame has agreed to provide the government with a "2021 Porsche car" and a property in Lennox, Massachusetts. In addition, Salame was ordered to pay more than $5.5 million in restitution to FTX debtors. Other former FTX executives Caroline Ellison, Gary Wang and Nishad Singh have pleaded guilty to criminal charges and are expected to become witnesses in the SBF case.
