CoinVoice recently learned that NEO founder Da Hongfei said that he has regained control of the X account and apologized for the inconvenience this incident may have brought to the community.

Da Hongfei said that he received an email at 23:30 on July 6th asking him to reset his password. When he saw the email 50 minutes later, he realized that his X account had been locked. The hacker changed his X account password, enabled two-factor authentication (2FA), and then began to post tweets containing fraudulent links. The intrusion was because he had previously connected multiple third-party websites/applications (office and calendar management services) to his email. The hacker somehow used these permissions to gain access to read the contents of his emails. [Original link]
