According to TechFlow, the Ethereum Classic (ETC) mainnet will undergo a Spiral network upgrade at block 19,250,000, which is expected to occur on January 31, 2024.
The Spiral network upgrade aims to achieve protocol synchronization with ETH's "Shanghai Upgrade" and introduce multiple Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), such as EIP 3651 (Warm COINBASE) and EIP 3855 (PUSH0 instruction). The upgrade will further enhance the compatibility between ETC and ETH, improve the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) function of ETC, and facilitate the ecological development and construction of ETC.
