In previous articles, we have introduced the concept and status of Linea in detail. As of now, the Alpha version of Linea mainnet has been launched for more than a month, and its ecosystem now has many available dApps. As shown in the figure below.

Today, I spent several hours browsing all the projects above and selected some that I think have great development potential (some of which may also have airdrops). Next, we will sort out the projects worth paying attention to through different categories.

The following are Bridges related projects:

1.Linea Bridge

Speaking of Bridge, we must first experience Linea's official bridge. In addition, in order to increase your chances of receiving LINEA airdrops in the future, please make sure that your wallet has used the official bridge at least once.

2.Orbiter Finance

We have introduced Orbiter in previous articles. It is also a bridge that I use frequently, not only because of its relatively low gas fee, but also because it supports multi-chain transfer operations. For example, I just used the Linea Bridge to transfer ETH from the main network to Linea, and the gas cost was almost $3. For the same operation, the gas fee in Orbiter is less than $1. This project is also one of the more popular airdrop projects.

3.XY Finance

The project is a cross-chain aggregator that can support 18 major EVM networks. Although they currently have their own token XY, which means there will be no more airdrop opportunities, the platform is actually more convenient to use and it also offers lower gas fees compared to Orbiter.

The following are DeFi related projects:

4.OpenOcean

This is a DEX aggregator that allows you to swap between more than 30 chains, and it is also the preferred DEX for large swap transactions.

5.SyncSwap

The DEX was originally launched on zkSync Era and is now also available on the Linea mainnet. For swap operations on Linea, especially for swap transactions below $1 ETH, this is a good first platform to operate. SyncSwap is also one of the more popular airdrop projects at present. Participating in it is equivalent to participating in the interaction between zkSync and Linea networks at the same time.

6.EchoDEX

EchoDEX is the first DEX on Linea's mainnet Alpha. Through EchoDEX, you can not only exchange tokens, but also provide liquidity to earn xECP. In addition, there is an Airdrop column in the project, which has a Point system, which is probably prepared for future airdrops. As shown in the figure below.

7.LineaBank

LineaBank is a lending protocol that allows you to provide assets, borrow funds, and receive LAB tokens as rewards.

8.Symbiosis

We have also mentioned the Symbiosis project in our previous article. As a cross-chain AMM DEX, its main feature is that it brings together liquidity from different blockchains (even non-EVM blockchains). You can trade any crypto assets in it and transfer these assets across multiple blockchain networks.

The following are NFT related projects:

9.Domain Service line

Everyone should be familiar with Ethereum's ENS domain name, and the one above is the official domain name service platform of the Linea network. You can register your own DIY domain name on Linea, or you can directly purchase a pre-registered domain name from the NFT market. As shown in the figure below.

10.Element NFT

This is a multi-chain NFT market, and its token ELE was airdropped a year ago. It is said that a total of 18,548,840 ELE tokens were airdropped at that time.

11.Zonic

Zonic is an NFT marketplace designed for L2 networks.

12.Omnisea

This is an Omnichain NFT platform that uses LayerZero technology. Omnisea is also one of the potential airdrop projects. It is said that by using this platform, you can get the opportunity of Layerzero airdrop, and you may also get the airdrop qualifications of Omnisea and Linea.

Well, that’s all for today’s sharing via “Hua Li Hua Wai”. Let’s summarize and review together. This article is one of a series of articles on project analysis, mainly introducing some projects with potential for development in the Linea ecosystem, including Linea Bridge, Orbiter Finance, XY Finance, OpenOcean, SyncSwap, EchoDEX, LineaBank, Symbiosis, Linea Domain Service, Element NFT, Zonic and Omnisea.

In general, although there have been many available DApps on the Linea ecosystem over the past period of time, compared with other Layer2 networks, Linea is still relatively slow and lagging. Even with a higher Gas limit, it may take up to 10 minutes to process a single transaction. Moreover, from my personal experience, the Linea network itself is sometimes not very stable, which can lead to transaction failures.

In addition, in terms of TVL, Linea's current TVL is also relatively low, only about 17 million US dollars, as shown in the figure below. This means that we will not cause any problems when trading smaller amounts, but when the transaction exceeds 1 ETH, things may become more complicated because the limited liquidity of DEX may have a significant impact on the price.

In short, although there are already many projects in its ecosystem, Linea Mainnet Alpha is still in its early stages and the current infrastructure needs to be greatly improved. As for the future development of the ecosystem, because it is backed by Consensys (the parent company of MetaMask), I also believe that Linea will definitely gain its own place in the Layer2 war.

I hope today’s sharing will be helpful to you. If you have any questions related to the blockchain field, you can ask questions in the community and we can discuss together.
