I recently looked into UniHexa.
From my understanding, this is meant to make token trading on Bitcoin feel more like using a normal exchange.
Assets like BRC-20, Runes, Alkanes, and Ordinals used to be pretty cumbersome to trade. You had to search for markets everywhere, place orders, wait for fills—when the market got active, it really was a hassle.
UniHexa uses an order book model. You set the price and whether you’re buying or selling, and the system handles matching. Orders that haven’t filled yet will remain on the market, and you can view and modify them at any time.
What the official calls “CEX-level performance + DEX-style self-custody” simply means that the matching speed is as fast as possible, and the assets remain under your control.
Here you need to be clear: after an order shows as filled, the assets still have to wait for on-chain confirmation before they arrive.
UniHexa is still in the invitation-only testing stage. For now it’s running on Fractal; later it plans to move to the Bitcoin mainnet.
