🔥 $BTC JUST RECLAIMED $80K — BUT DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT A “COIN” IS?
Bitcoin has been moving fast.
After trading around the $77K area, $BTC pushed back above the psychologically important $80K level today.
But today's lesson isn't about predicting where Bitcoin goes next.
It's something every crypto beginner should understand:
### 🪙 COINS ≠ TOKENS
Here's the simple version:
A COIN usually has its own blockchain.
Examples:
🟠 $BTC → Bitcoin blockchain
🔵 $ETH → Ethereum blockchain
🟡 $BNB → BNB Chain
A TOKEN, on the other hand, is generally created on an existing blockchain.
For example, a project can create a token that operates on Ethereum instead of building an entirely new blockchain from scratch.
Why does this matter?
Because when you're researching a crypto project, you should know:
🔎 Does it have its own blockchain?
🔎 What problem does it solve?
🔎 What is the token actually used for?
🔎 How many tokens exist?
🔎 Who controls the supply?
🔎 Is there real demand?
Don't buy something simply because:
"The price is only $0.05."
Remember yesterday's lesson?
Price alone doesn't tell you whether something is cheap.
And today:
A coin/token label alone doesn't tell you whether a project is good.
📚 Learn what you're buying BEFORE you buy it.
