$NEAR proposed to change token economics
SVRN CEO Sal Ternullo has proposed to the NEAR community to reduce the maximum annual issuance from 2.5% to 1.6% over two years.
There will be fewer new tokens, and the owners' shares will be diluted more slowly. The downside is that the profitability of staking, according to the author's calculations, will decrease from approximately 5.4% to 3.5%.
In the long term, Ternullo proposes to completely stop issuing new NEAR.
