#circletetherfreezebitgethackerwallet 🚨 CIRCLE & TETHER FREEZE BITGET HACKER WALLET A major crypto security incident has triggered another important debate around stablecoin controls. Bitget reported a massive security breach on September 24, with the initial loss estimated at $351.6M. The exchange later revised the affected-asset estimate to approximately $387.5M, after accounting for additional assets including Zcash and TRON. 🔒 Circle & Tether Take Action Circle blacklisted a wallet identified as “Bitget Exploiter 8”, while Tether subsequently blocked the same address. The wallet contained approximately: • 99,990 USDC • 218,023 USDT • 170.47 ETH The freeze effectively locked around $318,000 worth of USDC and USDT. ⚠️ But there is a major limitation: Stablecoin issuers can freeze their own tokens, but they cannot freeze native ETH. Reports indicate that other exploiter wallets still held more than 63,000 ETH. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the attackers compromised a backend system in the exchange's wallet infrastructure and spoofed transaction data, rather than obtaining users' private keys. Bitget says its cold wallets were unaffected and its User Protection Fund holds more than $464M. 📌 The bigger takeaway: This incident shows both the power and limits of centralized stablecoin controls. USDC and USDT can potentially be frozen at the token-contract level, while assets such as ETH cannot be frozen by stablecoin issuers. 👀 Assets to watch: $BTC • $ETH • $XRP #Bitget #CryptoSecurity #Circle #Tether #USDC #USDT #CryptoNews

Bitget-related stablecoins frozen in a case|About $318,000 not all losses recovered|BTC at $83,900—I won’t chase “safe narrative” hype My stance is to first manage exchange and liquidity risks. I don’t interpret “freezing the hacker’s wallets” as all stolen assets being fully recovered, nor do I immediately go long just because Bitcoin doesn’t have an issuer freeze button. Binance’s Plaza hot list is discussing #CircleTetherFreezeBitgetHackerWallet. In its official update, Bitget confirmed that some affected funds were frozen through industry coordination and that it has already launched tracking and a bounty; “freezing” and the final return of assets to users are still two different things. Citing CoinDesk and on-chain data, Binance News said that an address labeled “Bitget Exploiter 8” has about $218,000 USDT and about $100,000 USDC restricted, totaling about $318,000. This amount is only a small fraction of the many hundreds of millions (or more) in implicated funds. The address attribution and the asset status of other addresses still require further verification—so you can’t extrapolate one address’s result to conclude the whole case is closed. The impact of this matter on BTC’s mechanics is more complicated than a slogan saying “bullish for prices.” Stablecoins like USDC and USDT, which are managed by centralized issuers, can have restrictions applied at the level of specific addresses—helping block some of the illicit proceeds and also reminding investors that their settlement usability depends on the issuer’s rules. Native BTC has no comparable “blacklist switch” by an issuer, but that doesn’t mean BTC held on centralized platforms can always be withdrawn immediately either. Platform account permissions, hot-wallet security, withdrawal systems, and legal coordination are all another layer of risk. What I care about is whether withdrawals across platforms have resumed, whether market makers’ quotes are normal, and whether there’s a persistent price gap between stablecoins and fiat channels—rather than mixing up self-custody and exchange custody. The market signals so far have been fairly restrained. At the time of writing, Kraken’s BTC/USD is around $83,927, with 24h high $85,247 and low $83,164, slightly below the 24h open of $84,091. This price action can’t prove that freezing news pushed BTC higher, and it can’t attribute the entire day’s fluctuation to Bitget. It only suggests the price is temporarily in the middle of its range. My key levels are the lows around $83,164 and the highs around $85,247: if it rises above the latter and the pullback holds, then short-term risk appetite can be considered improved; if it breaks below the former, the “wait for stabilization” judgment fails. If the authorities publish new withdrawal arrangements, independent on-chain tracking results, or revisions to the implicated amount, the event assessment must be updated accordingly. If I were trading, I wouldn’t participate. My only plan is a fallback to confirm before taking a long position in BTC spot. I would only enter with 0.5% of total funds if (1) Bitget’s official confirmation verifies that withdrawals are restored and usable at the account level, and (2) BTC prints two consecutive 15-minute K-lines closing above $85,250 and the pullback doesn’t break $85,000. First target is $86,500; upon reaching it, I’d cut half, and the remainder would look toward $87,800. After entry, if it falls back to $84,500, I’d cut the position. If platform withdrawal anomalies reappear or the stablecoin–fiat price gap suddenly expands, I’d close immediately without waiting for the price stop-loss to trigger. If it drops below $83,160 first, this long setup is canceled—I won’t buy the dip or add leverage. Since the plan hasn’t been triggered, I haven’t written it as executed trades or profit. 🚨 SEC GIVES GREEN LIGHT TO TOKEN BUYBACKS & PROTOCOL UPGRADES! 🟢⚡

The SEC just provided a major clarity shift: Network upgrades, product improvements, and token buybacks do NOT automatically make a token a security! 🏛️✨

💡 Why This Is Huge for Crypto:

🔹 Upgrade Without Fear: Active protocol development on functional networks no longer carries automatic regulatory risk! 🛠️

🔹 Tokenomics Freedom: Projects can manage token buybacks and supply mechanics without being labeled as profit promises! 📈💎

🎯 2 Key Coins to Watch:

💧 $SUI — A high-performance Layer-1 protocol continuously shipping major and institutional ecosystem upgrades! 🚀⚡

🦄 $UNI — The leading DEX protocol that stands to benefit massively from clear guidelines on revenue share and fee-switch mechanics! 🦄📊

Crypto protocols finally have room to innovate and scale freely! 💥 Are you bullish on revenue-generating protocols now? Drop your thoughts below! 👇✨

Finally some positive SEC news! Major clarity shift — network upgrades and product launches are not securities actions. This is win for innovation. Does this mean altseason is closer with less SEC pressure? Drop your thoughts below 👇
Recent reports around the Bitget incident suggest roughly $351M may have been affected, while about 5,500 (~$464M) was reportedly available in protection funds. The exact figures are still being verified For me, protecting funds comes before chasing every opportunity. That’s one reason I continue to prefer Binance for my trading and crypto activity. 🔐 #CircleTetherFreezeBitgetHackerWallet
