📊 The figure that moves the board
The Venezuelan Association of Airlines (ALAV) published its frequency count, and the result paints two Venezuelas: while international supply grew 13.4% between May and September to 178 weekly flights, domestic supply plunged 32.5%, from 535 to 361 departures per week. The reason the trade group gives for the domestic drop is technical: fleet restrictions and operational contingencies.
The big numbers are well known: Bogotá leads with 22 weekly frequencies, Miami with 21, Madrid with 18 and Panama with 14. Turkey, with 6, remains the exotic route that never quite disappears. American Airlines and Copa are tied at the top with 14 each, and Madrid is the most contested route, with five airlines competing for the ticket.
