Marcus Thielen:
$BTC at $1 million by 2030 is โmathematically impossibleโ
10x Research CEO Marcus Thielen believes the popular prediction of Bitcoin at $1 million by 2030 is completely unrealistic.
The analystโs main theses:
โก๏ธ Lack of capital: To reach $1 million per coin, Bitcoin needs to raise another ~$15 trillion. This is equivalent to 25% of the entire US stock market capitalization, which requires catastrophically huge inflows of funds.
โก๏ธ Psychological barrier for retail investors: The higher the price, the weaker the interest of ordinary buyers. People tend to own a whole coin, not a fractional part (satoshi), and at a high rate they are more likely to choose to buy a car or other material goods.
โก๏ธ Inflated expectations from market leaders: Loud predictions from figures like Katie Wood or Brian Armstrong are a media ploy to attract attention, Thielen calls them, which only harms retail investors.
โก๏ธ Realistic scenario: A return to the $100,000 mark would already be a huge achievement, and new all-time highs shouldnโt be expected too soon due to the assetโs high capitalization.
According to Thielen, a $1 million
$BTC scenario is only possible in the event of a large-scale global credit crisis and โthe implosion of the entire financial system.โ
