According to ChainCatcher, Web3 credential data network Galxe tweeted that the website has now been fully restored and is continuing to enhance security.

On October 6, an unidentified person contacted domain service provider Dynadot, posing as an authorized Galxe member and using forged documents to bypass security processes. The impersonator gained unauthorized access to domain accounts, which they used to redirect users to fake websites and sign transactions that stole their funds.

All Galxe smart contracts and technical systems remain secure and protected. It is estimated that approximately 1,120 users who interacted with the malicious website were affected and approximately $270,000 was stolen. We are actively developing a fund recovery plan with law enforcement and third-party experts to ensure that everyone affected is compensated.
