#Bitcoin No Longer Correlated to U.S. Stocks, Crypto Analytics Firm Block Scholes Says.

The performance of Bitcoin ($BTC ) is no longer dependent on the mood of the #American stock markets.

The 90-day rolling correlation between movements in the spot price of bitcoin and those in the S&P 500, a more comprehensive index, as well as the tech-heavy #Nasdaq equities index on Wall Street, has decreased to almost zero. According to statistics monitored by crypto derivatives analytics company #BlockScholes, that is the lowest level in the last two years.

"It [the correlation] is now at the lowest level observed since July 2021, when BTC was between its twin peaks in April and November," wrote Andrew Melville, a research analyst at BlockScholes, in an email. #Cryptoniteuae

Spot #Bitcoin ETFs Record More Than $10B in Trading Volume

Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (#ETFs ) listed in the US experienced their most active trading day on Tuesday, with trading volume exceeding $10 billion, as Bitcoin's attempt to reach its previous all-time high encountered a setback. After briefly surpassing $69,000, Bitcoin witnessed a 7% decline within 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.

Analyst Eric Balchunas from Bloomberg Intelligence highlighted that the ten recently approved ETFs collectively surpassed $10 billion in trading volume during the session, surpassing the previous week's record.

What next for Blur as 49M tokens get unlocked

More $BLUR tokens are now being put to an exchange as part of the ongoing unlocking of the tokens. How has the token fared in response to this new development, and which way has witnessed a stronger dominance in exchange movement in the last several days?

About 49.8 million #Blur tokens, worth about $23.2 million, were recently unlocked, according to data from Etherscan. These unlocked tokens were moved to Coinbase Prime after first being transferred from a multi-signature address.

485 million tokens, valued at roughly $226 million, have been unlocked and moved to #coinbase Prime since the unlocking process started.

The daily period chart indicates that the price movement has displayed a positive trend following the token unlocks. Based on current data, the chart displayed a significant increase in value of more than 7%.

Hong Kong to Consult on Regulation for OTC Crypto Venues 'Very Soon'

#Hongkong said it plans to consult on a framework for over-the-counter (#OTC ) crypto venues and will start the process "very soon."

The consultation will cover virtual-asset (VA) outlets such as shops and online platforms, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (#FSTB ) said in a blog post on Friday.

"In fact, OTC venues have played a certain role in some of the fraud cases involving some unlicensed VA trading platforms last year, having misled investors to channel funds to these unlicensed platforms," the FSTB said.

"Therefore, we believe that it is necessary to bring OTC venues under regulation, and we will launch a consultation very soon on the proposed regulatory framework."
