bPay has my attention for a simple reason: it’s actually getting people to interact with BSC instead of just watching from the sidelines.
The community has moved fast since launch, and now the interesting part is seeing whether that attention can turn into something that lasts.
Still early, still watching.

I’ve been watching what’s happening with bPay for the past few days, and honestly, there’s a lot more to it than people are making it seem.
bPay launched on BNB Chain on September 26 through Flap. It has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, with a 3% buy tax and 3% sell tax.
One thing I think is important to clear up is that bPay is an independent BSC project. It isn’t a Binance product and it isn’t affiliated with Binance.
What caught my attention is the way they are trying to build the project around community participation.
They are using Binance Square and other social platforms to bring people into the ecosystem, while the transaction taxes are being directed towards things like community rewards, creator incentives and, under certain conditions, token buybacks.
Then things moved very quickly.
The project initially reported 939 Square accounts approved and about $18,930 allocated in rewards. Not long after that, applications reportedly passed 20,000. At that point, the original system clearly came under pressure and the team had to change parts of the verification and payment process.
That part is actually what I find most interesting.
It shows what happens when a project designed around community participation suddenly gets much more attention than expected.
Now bPay has also appeared on Gate Trenches, giving it another trading venue and putting it in front of a much wider audience.
Personally, I’m not looking at bPay and thinking it is automatically going to succeed.
I’m more interested in seeing whether the idea actually works.
Can a project build a real community around onchain participation?
Can the token economics support the community when the number of participants grows?
Can the reward system remain sustainable?
