Intel
#INTC fell to around $100 today.
I think the $100–$95 range offers strong support. You can start with an initial position today.
I look for three main signals when judging whether it’s a good time to buy the dip:
① Watch support levels
$90–$95 is the first zone to watch, and $80–$85 is the second. There has been historical trading activity around these levels, but that doesn’t mean they will necessarily hold.
② Look for signs the decline is stopping
Once the share price enters a support zone, don’t rush to buy. First, watch to see whether it stops making new lows, forms higher lows, and rebounds on rising volume.
③ Consider the fundamentals
The key factors for Intel are 18A yields, external customer orders for 14A, and foundry losses.
If the share price falls to $90 but foundry losses continue to widen and customer orders fall short of expectations, that may not be a bargain—it could be a value trap.
How would I assess it?
If it falls to $90–$95 and shows signs of stabilizing, I’d consider making my first purchase.
If it breaks below $90 and fails to recover, I’d reassess the $80–$85 range.
If it holds above $100 and resumes its uptrend, there’s no need to insist on waiting for $90.
Buying the dip isn’t about guessing the absolute bottom. It’s about acting when price, trend, and fundamentals gradually come into alignment. Also, earnings are due on the 29th of this month.
